About the Event
George Louzada is one of Rio Carnaval’s most respected passista coordinators, with over a decade at Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel. Founder of Passos da Zona Oeste, he has trained leading Carnaval figures such as Gabi Mendes (Queen of Rio Carnival), Dedê Marinho and Laryssa Bayer (muses of Unidos de Padre Miguel). With more than 20 awards, including the Estandarte de Ouro, George is also a choreographer, activist, and cultural mentor — a true force in keeping samba alive as art, legacy, and resistance.
